About me

meet Daniel

Dear Reader,

Ten years ago, I started a blog called The Daily By Daniel. At the time, I had just made the leap from LA to New York, standing at the edge of my twenties and at the center of a dream — to conquer the Big Apple with every little bit of my being. The “main character” in me was determined to explore every corner of the city; the “romantic” in me couldn’t resist writing about it. I captured my triumphs and failures, my joys and heartaches. I detailed the paths I carved, the lessons I learned, and the bridges I burned — each piece casting light on new layers of who I was. My highs, my lows, and every moment in between wove together into the story of my life…or at least, the story I thought I knew.

A decade later, I’ve leapt again — this time into my thirties, where the weight of both faith and fear have made space for something new. Coming back to LA, I’ve returned to familiar ground, but the terrain feels different now. It’s as though the city I once thought I knew has shifted in my absence, and I, too, have changed in ways I didn’t anticipate. There’s a strange beauty in this disorientation — this dance between returning to roots and discovering new ones, and experiencing it all through an entirely different lens.

As it seems, each day offers us the gift of a clean page to write our story — one that evolves and surprises us in ways we never expect. I used to focus on the moments themselves, those fleeting details that spoke to me and stirred me.

But now, I see how they all fit together to create something much bigger than just me. As I make my way through this next chapter, I’m learning to see the beauty in both my missteps and my strides forward. Some stories stay with us and leave a lasting mark, some quietly fade, but they all shape the larger arc of who we are — and who we’re still becoming.

While the road ahead remains unclear, the journey never linear, I do know this: my words always seem to find their way.  So, thank you for being here – and for joining me as the story continues to unfold. The blog may not be as daily anymore, but it’s still very much Daniel —ever-changing, always real. What’s next? I’m not quite sure, but I’m excited to find out — and to share it all with you.

Until then…

Yours,

Always,

The Daily by Daniel Signature
